Payment Methods

You can pay for your order the following ways:-

1.  By a secure payment system provided by PayPal. 
       *   PayPal, the trusted leader in online payments, lets you send and receive money online quickly and securely. 
       * PayPal protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is not shared with the merchant. Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a receipt for this transaction.
        * You AREN'T required to have a PayPal account to make a purchase through PayPal. Payments can be made through PayPal using Visa or Mastercard.


2.  
By direct deposit, cheque or money order.
 Please email (
enquiries@urbanfarmerupnorth.com), phone (Mobile: 0407 640 620) or fax (07) 4778 2468)  your order through and we will email you an invoice with our bank account details or postal details for payment.
Important - Orders will not be sent until payment has been received and cleared.
Sorry we do not take credit card over the phone, only through PayPal.

3.   You can pay for and collect your items in person at the Markets. This also gives you the opportunity to inspect the goods you are interested in before buying. 
Payment at the Markets is CASH or EFTPOS, unless other arrangements have been made prior. 
Some items may have to be requested beforehand as we don't take every item/colour to the markets, especially with the larger items such as ezyGrow Planters, or we may be temporarily out of stock. Please phone or email.

Shipping 

Your order will be sent as soon as payment has cleared (if paying by cheque or money order) and usually within 2 - 3 days when paid for through PayPal.

We send items using Registered Regular Mail with Australia Post.
As the mail is sent by Registered Post it is important that the name on the address is the person who will be signing for the parcel.
We can send by Express Post if urgent delivery is required however it would be at your cost. Please notify us if you require this.

Postage Charges (Registered Regular Mail within Australia)  are as follows:
$0.01 -   $50.00            Postage Charge $ 8.95
$50.01 - $174.99          Postage Charge $12.95
$175.00 - upwards       FREE

Some items we do not deliver - read below.

Some items that we stock in the Little Green Shop are NOT available for postage. These include ezyGrow Planters, Bokashi Buckets,  & Biochar Natural Soil Conditioner. These items are for pick-up only, generally at the Markets in Townsville, although other arrangements can be made. However if you can find a reasonable means of transport we are able to package the item ready for shipping for you. (You have to share your source with us though, we are always looking for ways to reduce freight costs!).

Sometimes we don't have items in stock. If this is the case we will contact you straight away  and ask what you would like to do. This could include replacing the item (e.g. same item but another colour), wait for that item to be restocked (usually takes 1week, depending on product, some items may take a little longer) or issue a refund.
 We are very sorry but we do not accept international orders.

Packaging

 We currently are using prepaid satchels, which are plastic but have been doing this to try and keep postage costs down. For larger orders we try and reuse packaging from suppliers or other sources. Most of the boxes, bubble wrap etc that we receive from suppliers is kept and reused at some stage. 

Refunds and Returns

 We make every effort to check each order before it leaves us to ensure that the items are all in good condition. However in the event that we have sent an incorrect order or there is a manufacturing fault please contact us as soon as you receive your order and we can make arrangements to retify the problem.

Returns and Exchanges
For non-faulty products:- We reserve the right to refuse any return if the item is not fit to be resold or has been used in any way. You must contact us within 10 days of making your purchase with us, the product (or any labeling) must not be used, tampered with, washed or damaged in any way; and you must have proof of purchase (original Tax Invoice) from Urban Farmer Up North.
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES ON DISCOUNTED OR 'ON SALE' ITEMS.
All shipping costs on returned items are to be paid by the customer.

If you have any questions about a product before purchasing, we are more than happy to answer them.
This could prevent making a 'wrong' decision.

Privacy

Urban Farmer Up North takes your privacy very seriously. We do not collect any personal information about you unless you choose to email us, place an order with us, enter a competition/promotion we may have or subscribe to our newsletter;  in which case you have done so voluntarily. Any information you provide is kept strictly confidential and is used to process your order or reply to your request. We will not sell, rent or disclose your information to any third party.
If you email us and/or order from us/ you will be automatically added to our emailing list as we may occassionally send out Newsletters/Special Offers. If you do not wish to continue receiving Newsletters click on the Unsubscribe link on the Newsletter. We won't be offended!
